Last updated: 19 October 2026
This notice describes the processing of personal data relating to visitors to italysud.com and people who contact Italy Sud S.r.l., including through the contact and B2B commercial enquiry forms.
1. Data controller and contact details
The data controller is Italy Sud S.r.l., Corso Europa 21, 81030 Frignano (CE), Italy. For privacy enquiries and to exercise your rights: info@italysud.it. B2B commercial enquiries are handled by the trading department: trade@italysud.it.
2. Data processed
We process information you provide directly: first name, surname, email, telephone number, company, country and the information contained in your messages. B2B forms may also include the enquiry type, products, specifications, quantities and delivery terms. Company information constitutes personal data where it identifies an individual. Please do not include health information or other unnecessary personal information.
Technical information may be processed during browsing, including IP address, device and browser information and logs needed for the operation and security of the website.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Enquiries and business relationships: answering messages, assessing purchase or supply proposals, preparing offers and managing subsequent relationships. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request or performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For contacts acting on behalf of a company, the basis is our legitimate interest in managing B2B communications and relationships (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Legal obligations: complying with administrative, accounting and tax obligations and requests from public authorities (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Security and protection of rights: preventing abuse, ensuring the operation of services and handling disputes, based on the controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)), while respecting your rights.
Mandatory form fields are needed to handle your enquiry; failing to provide them may prevent us from responding. Other information is optional. The automatic receipt confirmation is a service message and does not constitute acceptance of an offer or the conclusion of a contract.
4. Service providers and recipients
Data is accessible to authorised personnel and providers needed to deliver the services. The website uses Shopify and, for B2B forms and related email notifications, Powerful Form Builder. Email, hosting and technical support providers, advisers and, where needed for the business relationship, logistics providers and other parties involved in handling the enquiry may also participate. Providers processing data on our behalf act as processors where applicable. Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.
Service information: Shopify Privacy Policy and Powerful Form Builder Privacy Policy.
5. International transfers
Using international providers may involve processing data outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, they must be supported by the conditions and safeguards required by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, as applicable. Information about applicable safeguards can be requested at info@italysud.it.
6. Retention and security
Enquiry data is kept for the time needed to respond and manage negotiations and any subsequent relationships. The retention period is determined by the status of the enquiry, legal obligations and the need to establish, exercise or defend a right. Administrative and contractual documents are subject to applicable retention periods. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. Technical and organisational measures appropriate to the processing risks are implemented.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses cookies and technologies necessary for its operation. Any non-essential tools, including advertising or analytics tools subject to consent, require prior consent where required by law. 8. Rights and complaints
In the circumstances and within the limits set by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To exercise these rights, contact info@italysud.it. We may request information needed to verify your identity.
